Jackass Actor Ryan Dunn Killed in Fiery Car Crash

Ryan Dunn, the bearded and often-tortured star of the Jackass movies and TV series, was killed in a car accident overnight on Monday. He was 34 years old.

Local police have confirmed the death, which was initially reported by April and Phil Margera, parents of Dunn’s friend Bam, who called into a local radio show on Monday morning to share the sad news. According to the report, Dunn’s Porsche went off the road and flipped over a guardrail in West Goshen Pa, when it crashed into a tree and burst into flames.

The local site’s post included a photo of the crash, which showed the mangled car frame in the brush on the side of the road.

TMZ reports that Dunn was driving the car when it careened off of the road. That holds significance because earlier in the night, Dunn tweeted a photo of himself and some friends drinking at a bar, which could mean he was drunk at the time of the crash.

Dunn appeared in all three Jackass films alongside Bam Margera and Johnny Knoxville and his major claim to fame was shoving a toy car up his rectum in the first Jackass film in 2002.

Police told media that Dunn's 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 was situated "off the road and in the woods" in West Goshen Township. They found Dunn alongside Dunn an unidentified passenger and they both were said to have died around 3 a.m. "as a result of injuries sustained in the accident." It's unknown whether alcohol was involved in the catastrophe but authorities claim "Speed may have been a contributing factor," cops added. Late Sunday, however, Dunn tweeted a pic of himself drinking with pals.

So sad news for friends and family of the actor and taken away at such a young age makes it such a tragedy.
